Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Foundation in 10 Beige Review
Strangely, I've actually never used a Chanel foundation before. I've receive generous samples and all but I was never really motivated to go back and purchase a whole bottle. I heard a lot of good things about the Vitalumiere Aqua but was always hesitant about the coverage and lasting power on combination skin, especially during the summer. Over the past 3 months, I've experienced a change in base makeup philosophy. Sheerer items that serve the purpose of evening out skin tones have become a staple. When Chanel released a matte alternative, I immediately got myself a bottle of the new Perfection Lumiere Velvet when it became available in stores.

Eve Lom Mineral Powder Foundation on 01 Alabaster Review
My all time favorite mineral foundation is the Lancome one but over time it has cut done its shade range. It is very possible that they will eventually cease production and given how it was never launched outside of the U.S., it will be very hard for me to get hold of anymore. I never really found the right color for my skin and given how it's full coverage, it requires color correction. I have always heard of really good things about Eve Lom's skincare so when a color cosmetics range was launched, I immediately bought a couple of things once they became available in the U.S. Despite my prolonged delay in posting, I never rely stop buying makeup and skincare items throughout the past 6 months :P

Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G.Fallen from the Lipstick Tree in Bitch Perfect Review
Being a big makeup fan, of course I had to try the Charlotte Tilbury line. Her team did a great job of creating lots of hype and anticipation around the release of her makeup line. Perhaps people in the States who are less interested in makeup are not as familiar with these products since they are currently available in the U.K. and no where else. I ordered a bunch of stuff online (via her website but you can also purchase the items from Selfridges). Unfortunately, the Magic Cream and foundation were not available for delivery to the U.S. due to complications with SPF regulations. I believe eventually the SPF will be approved for shipping to the U.S. I am still plotting about getting some of that Magic Cream through a trip to London….

Guerlain Parure Pearly White Brightening Foundation Compact SPF 20 PA++ in 01 Beige Chic White Review
I'm always on the look out for a good compact powder foundation that can top the MAC Studio Fix. By all means I love the MAC except for the fact that it's a little too dry and matte. I hope for something that has a bit more dimension to the formula. This Guerlain one caught my eye a while back when it first came out in the early 2000's and probably is the first powder foundation I've used. During last summer, I purchased another one while traveling to Asia to give it another go and see if anything has changed.

IOPE Bio Essence Intensive Conditioning Review: SKII Essence Comparison
It has been half an year since my last post update. I apologize for abandoning this blog for so long. The so called Daily Dose initiative has turned into a biannual one. Some important changes have taken place in my professional life. I have relocated to a new city and will be facing new challenges at a different job that should be slightly less stressful but again, it's challenging in different ways. Luckily, I have some time off during this summer before the hectic phase begins once more. Meanwhile, I will be able to maintain more frequent and steady updates.
I have found a new love. Ever since I started using the SKII intensive care toners or whatever they are supposed to be classified as
have made a permanent spot in my skincare routine. They are absolutely
refreshing and effective at helping my skin restore its conditions overnight. A few years ago, I splurged on a bottle of SKII Essence and have been using it
everyday since. There a few Asian brands that have launched
products in this category that claims to do similar things. I never really
wanted to try any since I am so pleased with the SKII Essence and believe it's worth
the price. In the beginning of 2014, I was gifted the IOPE Deep Conditioning, which is
produced by Amor Pacific. IOPE is the slightly pricier and more scientific
feeling brand within the giant company portfolio.

Liquid Corrector Comparisons: Nars vs. Giorgio Armani vs. Bobbi Brown
I started my search for a good liquid under eye corrector last fall. The typical creams are highly effective but they are also rather cakey and settle into lines that otherwise you would have never noticed before. The choices were narrowed down to the following:
