As all of you know, I'm quite deficient in my hair care knowledge. I basically did not really take care of my hair until recently since my hair is naturally tame. Life caught up with me so I've been doing some maintenance. For the longest time, I have been looking for a shampoo & conditioner that will give me plenty of natural root boost. I'm not motivated to use styling products let alone tease my hair to get some volume. Many of the ones I've tried have failed me for the results are barely noticeable until I randomly grabbed these in Whole Foods.
This stuff works. I use the moisturizing shampoo that gives my hair a good cleanse without drying it out and then condition with the volumizing version.
What the Root 66 conditioner says:
- "Horsepower expanders add max volume and max life to hair that is limping through life
- Increases volume in limp, lifeless hair
- Cleans and adds weightless bounce
- Strengthens thin, fragile hair
- Protects fine hair from damage while building body
- Lauryl and laureth sulfate free"
What I like:
- Actual root boost that lasts! (approx. 2 days)
- Really lightweight
- Soft & shiny hair
- Price
What I don't like:
- Not enough moisture for my dry ends on the second day
I will be testing out some more products from this company, especially the fruity volume boosters!
